No one was injured after the water rescue in Eau Claire

Eau Claire, Wisconsin No one was injured during a water rescue in Eau Claire on Saturday afternoon.

The Eau Claire Fire Department received a call about a person falling through the ice on Half Moon Lake near Braun’s Bay.

When crews arrived, they discovered a person in the water with their head and shoulders above the surface in a shallow area of the lake.

The first responders entered the ice and transported the person to the shore.

ECFD cautions against any ice-related activities with varying ice conditions and thickness levels.
