Millions are gone: Judge reduces $71.4 million verdict for T.I. and Tiny Harris in MGA doll case

Millions are gone Judge reduces $71.4 million verdict for T.I. and Tiny Harris in MGA doll case

T.I. and Tiny Harris first claimed a significant legal victory when a jury ordered MGA Entertainment to pay them $71.4 million.

The decision determined that MGA’s popular LOL Surprise! OMG Dolls violated the trade dress of the OMG Girlz, a group that previously included their daughter, Zonnique Pullins.

The Harrises claimed that MGA profited unfairly by imitating the OMG Girlz’ unique look. However, a federal judge has reduced the verdict by $53.6 million.

The judge identified inadequate evidence of MGA’s bad faith, limiting the award to $17.8 million in compensatory damages.
