SHAPLEIGH — An 8-foot-long boa constrictor was discovered in Shapleigh.
The York County Sheriff’s Office says they got an animal report on Shapleigh Corner Rd. on Friday.
Deputy Jonathan Marshall arrived to see an 8-foot snake. Police claim he moved the boa into his car to protect it from the cold, which may be deadly for a cold-blooded snake.
The Maine Warden Service was sent to collect the snake from there.
Police ask that if you know the owner of this animal, call 207-324-1111 and ask for Deputy Marshall.
