On Monday afternoon, a tractor trailer went down on the Maine Turnpike.
Troops from the Maine State Police arrived at the scene of the collision close to mile marker 18 at approximately 4:43 p.m. Officials said the car had gone through the median guardrail from the northbound lane and landed in the opposing southbound lane.
The collision did not injure the driver. The collision did not involve any other drivers.
Officials currently think that one of the factors that led to the collision was driver fatigue. Investigations are still ongoing.
