MONDOVI, Wisconsin – The Mondovi Police Department and Mondovi Fire Department responded to a vehicle fire on Saturday night.
Upon arrival, one police officer and one firefighter discovered the truck completely engulfed in flames.
According to the first inquiry, the vehicle was going on the 400 block of South Eau Claire Street when it left the road and collided with the Buffalo River Bridge.
The truck continued to cross the bridge, eventually catching fire.
After the fire was extinguished, the driver, a 49-year-old man, was discovered dead inside the vehicle.
