Stabbing in Duenweg sends one to the hospital and another in prison

DUENWEG, Mo. — Duenweg police were called to reports of a stabbing this afternoon. One person is in the hospital and another is being held.

Darren Pearce, the head of police in Duenweg, says the call came in at 4:30 p.m. from the area of Patterson and Sterling Streets.

He says a 25-year-old guy was stabbed twice, once in the thigh and once in the chest, and taken to a nearby hospital.

Pearce says that the cuts are not dangerous to life.

The Jasper County Sheriff’s Department also sent officers to the spot to help the Duenweg Police Department.

Chief Pearce says that one person is being held because they may be charged with abuse.
