Major Flooring Brand Closing All Stores Including 8 in Missouri

If you live in Missouri and want to make changes to your floors this fall, you might want to see if they’re still open. This morning, a big flooring company said they are closing all of their shops, including 8 in Missouri.

The company that started out as Lumber Liquidators will no longer exist after September. This news just came out a few days ago. LL Flooring told CNN about their plans. They had wanted to sell the brand, but that didn’t work out, so they’re going to sell everything and shut down all of their stores.

Here are the 8 locations of LL Flooring in Missouri from their official website:

  • Columbia
  • Fenton
  • Lee’s Summit
  • Saint Peters
  • Springfield
  • Chesterfield
  • Kansas City
  • Joplin

Along with the news that the stores would be closing, they said they would not be taking any more flooring bookings as of last week.

In the store opening story, it was said that one of LL Flooring’s problems came from when it was Lumber Liquidator and customers sued as a group over 6 years. A fine of $33 million was given for “misleading investors about the formaldehyde” that was used in installations.
