Two men from Minnesota were killed on Friday as a result of a motorbike accident that occurred in western Wisconsin and caused roadways to be closed for more than five hours.
At 10:38 in the morning, the Buffalo County Sheriff’s Office received a call about a collision that occurred in the town of Nelson, close to the intersection of state Highway 35 and Deer Creek Road.
The collision involved a pick-up truck and three motorcycles.
As reported by the sheriff’s office, the vehicle was heading north when it crossed the centerline and collided with three motorbikes travelling in the opposite direction.
The incident resulted in the deaths of two of the motorcyclists, a guy from Rochester who was 59 years old and a man from Chatfield who was also 59 years old.
The third motorcyclist, a man from Rushford who was 69 years old, had minor injuries due to the accident.
It was reported that the truck driver, a man from Alma, Wisconsin, who was 34 years old, did not sustain any injuries.
For almost five hours, Highway 35 was closed in the vicinity of the accident site.
It was around three o’clock when the Buffalo County Sheriff’s Office made the announcement on Facebook that roadways were once again accessible.
