$766 for families of 3 receiving SNAP benefits through September 23

The USDA has said when people who get SNAP benefits can get Food Stamps in September and how much they can get in total. This month is the last one with these limits in the 48 states that are next to each other.

Also, adults 18 to 54 years old who are able-bodied and do not have any dependents will have to work at least 80 hours a month in order to get SNAP benefits for more than three months in a three-year period.

People aged 53 to 54 will also have to follow the time limit rule. Now let’s talk about the $766 payments that families with three members will receive until September 23, 2024.

Who can receive $766 from SNAP in these States?

In the 48 contiguous states and the District of Columbia, the most a family of three can get is $766. This is the most you can get, and you will get it if that amount doesn’t go down.

You might be able to do this if you don’t have any other means or ways to make money, or if your personal and financial situation lets the SNAP office give you the full amount. In general, the CBPP says that families with three people only get $598.

September is the last month that families with three people can get $766. After the 2025 COLA, this highest amount will go up by a small amount. It will cost $768 starting October 1, 2024. So, people who are qualified can get an extra $2.
