Nashville, TN – The 29-year-old man, later named as PauI, was arrested and is now facing several charges, including criminal homicide, for allegedly killing a woman by shooting her in the head right after he took her hostage and tried to sexually assault her.
Officials with the MNPD say the fatal accident happened earlier this week. The victim, eventually identified as AIyssa, was 34 years old and had been shot once. She was pronounced dead at the scene of the crime.
Multiple witnesses called 911 to report hearing shots at the scene, which led to the start of the investigation. During the investigation, police learned that the victim was working out when the 29-year-old guy came out from between parked cars and began to follow her. The man then took the woman hostage and took her to an abandoned part of the trail.
Soon after, someone heard the woman yelling for help and saying, “Someone is trying to r-pe her.” After a short time, they heard one gunshot. The shooter, who was 29 years old, then ran to his car and drove away. The body of the 34-year-old woman was found, and she was declared dead at the scene after being shot once in the head.
Officials from the MNPD say that the 29-year-old shooter was caught on film with blood on his clothes and scratches on his body. The camera also got a picture of his license plate number.
