Wisconsin Manufacturers and Commerce has named the winners of their Business Friend of the Environment Awards. Some of the companies that won are from Wisconsin.
There were three types of winners: sustainability, environmental care, and environmental innovation. The winners came from nine companies across the state.
Two companies that won awards for sustainability were Redline Plastics in Manitowoc and Plexus Corporation in Neenah.
The award for care went to RGL Logistics from Green Bay, and the award for innovation went to Mercury Marine from Fond du Lac.
The goal of the Business Friend of the Environment program is to show Wisconsinites and politicians which companies are doing the most to protect the environment.
