President-elect Donald Trump has sent his traditional Thanksgiving message to his detractors via his social media platform, Truth Social.
The scarcely comprehensible statement was posted just shy of 1 a.m. Thursday began with “Happy Thanksgiving to all,” but—as always—some Americans were in his sights.
He lashed out: “Happy Thanksgiving to all, including to the Radical Left Lunatics who have worked so hard to destroy our Country, but who have miserably failed, and will always fail, because their ideas and policies are so hopelessly bad that the great people of our Nation just gave a landslide victory to those who want to MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!”
He then took a deep breath, returned to lower case, and added: “Don’t worry, our country will soon be respected, productive, fair, and strong, and you will be prouder than ever to be an American!” He later shared the post on his pal Elon Musk’s site, X.
He used the “destroy our country” line in a similar Truth Social Thanksgiving post last year.
That message also predicted the future, adding, “Have no fear, however, we will WIN the Presidential Election of 2024, & MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!!!”
Trump’s heated holiday messages have long been a part of his social media output, dating back to the famous “Happy Thanksgiving to all—even the haters and losers!” in 2013.
After posting in the early hours of the morning, Trump took an almost eight-hour hiatus before sending a more tranquil statement. He posted a photo of himself smiling and posing with a police officer, captioned “Happy Thanksgiving! 2024.”
