It has been revealed by the Social Security Administration that up to $4,873 will be paid this week. In October, there are 4 different paydays. Whether you get your money early or late in the month will depend on a number of factors.
SSI recipients who get the smallest checks and direct payments this week may also be able to get the October 1 payment. That means that some seniors will get two different payments this week if they are qualified.
This week’s Social Security payment on Oct. 3
Many seniors who are getting retirement payments will be able to get their money from the Administration on October 3. SSA will check to make sure they meet all the standards though before sending the money.
- October 3 will be your payment if you receive both:
- SSI
- Social Security retirement benefits (if on SSDI too)
- October 3 will be your payday if you got benefits before May 1997
If you file when you are 70 years old, the most you could get on October 3 is $4,873. If you file at Full Retirement Age, you can get up to $3,822. If you file at 62, you can get up to $2,710.
Next week’s Social Security payment
In this case, the direct payouts and checks from Social Security for next week will be sent out on October 9. Or the same thing, on October 2nd. Also, you will only be able to get it if you don’t get SSI and meet the age standard.
You also can’t get benefits if you got them before May 1997. People born between January 1 and October 10 will be able to get the October 9 payment from Social Security. Not getting either of them is okay, so don’t worry.
There will be two more payments from SSA on October 16 and October 23. The average salary for people who are retired is $1,920. No matter how much the pay is. Get Supplemental Security Income if you think your Wednesday payment is too low and you don’t have any other ways to make money.
