The PC Sheriff's Office has reported three separate car crashes in the area

Pierce County, Wisconsin — The first two-car crash was reported on November 3, 2024, in Spring Lake Township. On Sunday, November 3, at approximately 6:07 p.m., the Pierce County (PC) Sheriff’s Office received notification of a two-vehicle incident with injuries on County Road CC around 650th Ave in Spring Lake Township, Wisconsin.

Gregory Schrag, 42, of Elmwood, WI, was driving a 2022 Toyota Tacoma westbound on 650th Ave when he collided with a 2021 Jeep Wrangler northbound on County Road CC, driven by Laura Larson, 35, of Elmwood, WI. Nikolas Hofacker, 25, of Elmwood, Wisconsin, and a one-year-old juvenile from Elmwood, Wisconsin, were the two passengers in the Jeep Wrangler.

Spring Valley EMS transported Ms. Larson to Western Wisconsin Health (WWH) with unclear injuries. The one-year-old juvenile and Mr. Hofacker were carried to WWH in a personal vehicle with unknown injuries. Mr. Schrag was not wounded in the accident.

The Pierce County Sheriff’s Office received assistance from the Spring Valley Fire Department, Elmwood Ambulance, and Elmwood Fire Department.

The following report was of a single car crash with possible injuries on US Highway 63 in Pierce County. The Baldwin driver and his 3-year-old passenger were transferred to WWH.

On Wednesday, November 6, 2024, at about 1:21 a.m., the Pierce County Sheriff’s Office received notification of a single vehicle crash with suspected injuries on US Highway 63 near 799th Avenue in Martell Township.

Sondra MacDonald, 41, of Baldwin, Wisconsin, was driving a 2013 Volkswagen Passat westbound on 799th Ave when she attempted to turn right to proceed northbound on US Hwy 63 and ended up in the ditch. Her vehicle also carried a three-year-old passenger. Ellsworth Ambulance sent Ms. MacDonald and her juvenile passenger to WWH in Baldwin, Wisconsin, for unspecified injuries.

The Pierce County Sheriff’s Office received assistance from the Ellsworth Fire Department and Ellsworth Ambulance Service.

The most recent crash report came from Patrol Lieutenant Andrew Thoms of the PC Sheriff’s Office, who reported a single car-deer collision with injuries in the Town of Gilman, Wisconsin. On Thursday, November 7, 2024, at about 10:14 a.m., the Pierce County Sheriff’s Office received notification of a single motor vehicle accident with injuries on State Road 29 near County Road BB in Gilman Township, Wisconsin.

Wanda Doughty, 64, of Elmwood, Wisconsin, was driving a 2023 Chevy Equinox westbound on State Road 29 when she hit a deer. Spring Valley Ambulance brought Ms. Doughty to WWH in Baldwin, Wisconsin, with unclear injuries.

The Pierce County Sheriff’s Office received assistance from Spring Valley Ambulance and the Spring Valley Fire Department.
