T-bone collision at highway speeds, vehicle overturns near Joplin

Jasper County, Missouri — Around 6 p.m. Wednesday, Jasper County E-911 received reports of a crash with one vehicle overturned at West 7th and Blackcat.

Carl Junction Fire, Jasper County Deputies, and METS ambulance responded. Missouri State Highway Patrol was notified. Joplin Fire was asked to respond and assist.

One vehicle was t-boned at highway speeds and overturned onto its top. That motorist was transferred to a nearby hospital with significant injuries.

A 46-year-old lady from Joplin, Missouri, was driving a 2012 Dodge Journey north on Black Cat Road. It failed to yield at West 7th Street and collided with another vehicle.

A 60-year-old woman from Baxter Springs, Kan., received serious injuries after being t-boned while heading west on W 7th at highway speeds. Her 2014 GMC Terrain overturned in the incident.
