A Richmond man perished in an ATV rollover accident near Dixmont.
According to the Maine Warden Service, Patrick LaFlamme, 65, went hunting on his ATV Saturday morning and did not return to camp, so his buddies began looking for him.
Authorities said LaFlamme was discovered dead on an old tote road about a mile from the Firetower Road.
According to initial reports, LaFlamme died after the ATV he was driving flipped over on top of him.
The Maine Warden Service was called to the area just after noon Saturday, and the Penobscot Sheriff’s Office, Dixmont Fire Department, and Plymouth Fire and Rescue all participated with the investigation. LaFlamme was transferred to the Plummer Funeral Home in Augusta.
