There are 4 different paydays that you could get money on if you are retired and getting Social Security. There are rules that say when you get your direct payment or cheque. It could be earlier or later in the month.
Some retirees won’t get their cheque or direct payment until October 23. They will, however, get paid on time and as planned. Because of when they were born, they get it so late.
Who qualifies for Social Security on October 23?
To get the last payment in October, you must meet the following birthday requirements:
- retirement payment on October 9: born from 1-10
- retirement payment on October 16: born from 11-20
- retirement payment on October 23: born from 21-31
Also, there are two things that might keep you from getting any of the Wednesday payments. If you got Social Security payments before May 1997, your next cheque will be sent to you on November 1, two days early. Also, people who get SSI or retirement benefits will not be able to get the October 23 check.
How much could your Social Security be on October 23?
