Pierce County man sentenced for tenth OWI offense

DUNN COUNTY, Wisconsin – A Pierce County man accused with ten OWI offenses is sentenced in Dunn County Circuit Court.

On November 20, 2024, online court records show that 46-year-old Steven Bahr of Elmwood, Wisconsin, pleads no contest to a tenth OWI offense.

According to online court documents, Bahr was sentenced to four years in prison and five years of extended supervision.

According to the criminal complaint, an officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle suspected of hitting a curb and making an unlawful turn in Menomonie. The officer believed the driver’s eyes were shiny and bloodshot. The officer also noticed a distinct odor of an alcohol emanating from the vehicle.

According to the criminal complaint, authorities identified the driver as Bahr. Authorities discovered that Bahr’s license had been criminally revoked, and he had an occupational license but was working outside of his regular hours.

The complaint states that Bahr rejected sobriety testing. Authorities discovered that Bahr had nine prior OWI offenses.
