ELSWORTH, Wisconsin — When the “Connect and Thrive” event was conducted for the first time on Sunday, September 15, 2024, at the Seyforth Building on the Pierce County Fairgrounds, it was a lovely and sunny day.
The event was organized by the Pierce County Aging and Disability Resource Center (ADRC).
The purpose of this event, which was open to people of all ages and families, was to inspire people to get together and have fun to learn about the significance of connecting with one another and supporting one another.
The meeting lasted for two hours and was attended by more than sixty-seven individuals who were interested in listening to the music of the local band Half Shebang and enjoying refreshments such as cookies, lemonade, and other beverages.
Additionally, attendees had the opportunity to snag one of the many door prizes.
There were also a number of local organizations who were there, and they offered a wide range of resources for guests to access and learn about.
