According to WABI, OLD TOWN, Maine When it comes to lobster lovers, Wednesday is your day!
During this week, which is also known as Maine Lobster Week, Wednesday is also celebrated as National Lobster Day.
If you travel throughout the state, you will discover that there are dozens of eateries that are taking part in Lobster Week. Pepper’s Landing, located in Old Town, is included in this.
According to Angela Thompson, general manager, the festival that lasts for an entire week brings attention to the significance of the lobster industry and provides support to local fishermen.
The assortment of lobster rolls at Pepper’s Landing is well-known for its quality. In addition to the traditional selections, such as the Brunswick, which is served warm with butter, or the Martin, which is comprised of lettuce and mayonnaise, they also provide a selection of options that are not commonly found elsewhere.
“I always recommend the Martin since it is the classic style, and if you are feeling a little spicy, you can have one of the other options, such as the Kennebunk, which has a lot of extra things on it, and the Old Town, which is similar to a BLT lobster roll.
However, if you have never experienced a lobster roll before, I always recommend that you begin with either the Brunswick or the Martin so that you may experience the full flavor of lobster,” Thompson said.
The lobster rolls at Pepper’s Landing are priced at $25 and are available during lunch hours every Thursday. On Thursday, September 26th, they are extending the duration of the bargain to include the entire day.
Lobster week continues with discounts and specials throughout the weekend. To find a full list of participating restaurants, go to mainelobsterweekcom.
