If you get SSDI, September 11 could be your payment date. Other people who get SSDI might not be able to get it. It’s important to remember that Social Security has set 4 different pay dates for September.
If you got SSDI on September 3, you won’t be able to get the September 11 check. This is because every month you can only get one payment. Plus, you might get Disability Insurance in the future. If you don’t meet the birthday standards, it will be your case.
Birthday requirement to get SSDI on the 11th
Disability Insurance benefits from Social Security will only be sent on the 11th to people whose birthday is between January 1st and October 10th. The month you were born doesn’t really matter.
Another option for people who get SSDI is to get money from the government on September 18. Of course, you were born after October 10th. Don’t forget to tell SSA if you start working.
You must also let the Agency know if you get over your condition. There will be another payment on September 25 after the ones on September 11 and 18.
How large can SSDI checks be in September?
The Social Security Administration says that in 2024, the biggest Disability Insurance amount will be $3,822. That’s the most that can be borrowed in September, no matter when the paycheck comes in.
Some people who get SSDI may only get a small check, which is even less than the norm. They might be able to get Supplemental Security Income benefits, but some of them aren’t getting them.
As of August 2024, the SSA says that the average SSDI salary is $1,539 per month. The Agency just recently told us about this. The next time you get paid will be October 3 if:
- you are on SSI and Disability Insurance at the same time
- you got benefits before May 1997
- (thus) you are on SSDI but you do not qualify for the September 11, 18, or 25 payment
