Mugshot Released, Services Set For Popular Cook Following Deadly Lyndhurst Hit-Run

At approximately 9:50 p.m., Steven G. Novillo-Cabrera was operating a 2020 Honda Civic when he collided with George Arnold, who was 57 years old and attempting to cross Ridge Road at Milton Avenue.

Arnold was hurt in the collision. Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella made the announcement on Thursday, October 10th.

Additionally, Novillo-Cabrera attempted to repair the vehicle in order to conceal his role in the collision, according to the police.

Because he was scheduled to appear in the Bergen County Superior Court in Hackensack, he was taken into custody and placed in the Bergen County Jail.

It was alleged that he had deliberately fled the scene of an accident that had resulted in death, that he had obstructed the investigation, that he had put a wounded victim in risk, and that he had modified physical evidence.

Meanwhile, funeral arrangements have been made for Arnold, a graduate of Rutherford High School who had been employed as a cook at Steve’s Sizzling Steaks in Carlstadt from the time of his passing.

The Kimak Funeral Home, located at 425 Broad Street in Carlstadt, will be the location of the visitation that will take place on Wednesday, October 16 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
