Beginning on October 6, the Missouri Department of Transportation is issuing a notice to motorists about a project that will involve the replacement of pavement.
On the roundabout located in Jasper County, north of Joplin, at the intersection of Missouri Route 43 and Missouri Route 96, the work is scheduled to begin on Saturday, October 6 at seven o’clock in the evening and continue until Monday, October 7 at seven o’clock in the morning.
Traffic Impacts:
- North of Joplin, the roundabout at Route 43 and Route 96 is CLOSED at night while workers work.
- Drivers should look for other ways.
- Drivers coming up to the work zone will see signs and message boards.
- Drivers should be ready for delays
- Four parts of the roundabout will have flaggers who will direct traffic through the work zone.
- Drivers are being told to be aware of workers and tools working near traffic.
- No marked side road
