MENOMONIE, Wisconsin — An officer with the Menomonie Police Department has died.
Menomonie Police Chief Rick Hollister announced on Friday that Officer Sam Miller died suddenly and unexpectedly while off duty.
Officer Miller joined Menomonie PD in January 2024, having previously worked for law enforcement agencies in Pepin and Dunn counties.
Chief Hollister did not provide any additional information about Officer Miller’s death. He says Menomonie Police Department is requesting assistance from neighboring agencies over the next few days.
