Man from Barry County charged with stabbing a person four times and breaking into a storage building

CASSVILLE, Missouri – A man from Barry County has been charged with stabbing someone four times after breaking into a storage building this week.

According to court filings, Eric Royer, 48, of Seligman, has been charged with first-degree assault, armed criminal activity, and first-degree trespass.

According to Barry County investigators, on December 4, Royer broke into a storage building in Cassville. When the victim discovered Royer was trespassing, Royer stabbed him four times, causing serious harm.

According to court filings, after the incident, Royer went to a Cassville hospital and claimed to have stabbed someone.
