SNAP amounts before the 2025 COLA increase

If your family has five people and you qualified for the most money, you could get up to $1,155. People who are single can get up to $291, which is about $202 a month.

You could get up to $766 if you have three people in your home. Couples who are married or homes with two people could get up to $535 a month. Remember that these payments are sent to EBT cards.

After that, you can use this money at any farmer’s market, grocery store, or shop that accepts it. Before you go grocery shopping, make sure the store takes EBT cards and looks for food that SNAP works with. The USDA only lets you buy certain things, so you can’t just buy anything.

The top numbers will stay the same until September 30, 2024. Once the 2025 COLA boost is over, SNAP payments will go up again on October 1, 2024. In the future, these numbers will be:

Size of the household for SNAP benefits and the most that can be paid in the 48 states and DC

1 person $292
2 recipients $536
3 beneficiaries $768
4 beneficiaries $975
5 beneficiaries $1,158
6 beneficiaries $1,390
7 beneficiaries $1,536
8 beneficiaries $1,756
Each additional beneficiary $220
