ANAMOSA, Iowa —  One person died when the ATV they were riding went off the road and into a ditch. Just after 8 p.m. Sunday, emergency workers were called to Old Dubuque Road near Davidson Blvd., northeast of Anamosa.

 

The driver was going north when they lost control of the ATV and it rolled over onto the driver’s side and into the ditch. Even though he was taken to a nearby hospital, the driver died there. The event is still being looked into.

 

LINN COUNTY, IA — One person died and another was taken to the hospital after a UTV went off the road and land on its side in a ditch. On Saturday night, just after 7 p.m., police were called to the 600 block of Waspsi Banks Road in Linn County.

 

They found that one person had died at the scene and that another had injuries that were not life-threatening. The victims’ names have not been made public. The crash is still being looked into.

 

CEDAR COUNTY, Iowa — Someone on a scooter was killed when a car pulled out in front of them at a turn in southern Cedar County. It took place just after 11 a.m. on Saturday at the corner of 325th Street and Taylor Avenue in Cedar County, northeast of Wilton.

 

Iowa State Patrol, the driver of the car didn’t pay attention to the traffic lights and drove into Taylor, right into the path of the coming motorbike. The motorbike hit the car’s passenger side. The names of both drivers have not been made public. The car’s driver was hurt, but the person’s status is not being made public.

 

HOPKINTON, Iowa —, Delaware County police say a guy from Manchester lost control of his motorcycle on Friday and crashed it into a ditch. It took place on county road D47 west of Hopkinton just after 5 p.m.

 

The Delaware County Sheriff’s Office says Lonnie Deitrick, who is 51 years old, lost control of his motorbike on a rough part of the highway. Deitrich was flown to the University of Iowa Health Care in Iowa City, but the hospital has not said what his status is.
