Joplin Party City set to close

JOPLIN, Mo. (KOAM) — There will be no more Party City at 430 S Rangeline in Joplin. A few weeks ago, rumors started going around in the area.

Everything is 25% off the original price, as seen on signs in the front windows Thursday morning. “Store closing, but only at this location.”

Sources say December 4 will be their last day. There won’t be any more items on the shelves. When something is sold, it’s gone.

There are about 20 people working in Joplin, with 4 full-time workers. They were publicly told last week that the store was closing.

Party City filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy and has now come to a deal to close a few of their 850 stores across the country.

The places that were picked to close have no reason to, but analysts think they aren’t doing well.

This is news that just came out. KOAM News Now and Joplin News First will let you know when there are changes.
