JOPLIN, Mo. (KOAM) — A lawyer from Joplin was sworn in as President of The Missouri Bar.
A report from The Missouri Bar says that Shelly Dreyer was sworn in at the group’s annual meeting in St. Louis.
The Missouri Bar says Dreyer will work as the head of the state’s group for all licensed lawyers for one year. She is the first woman from outside of St. Louis or Kansas City to be President of The Missouri Bar in its 80-year history.
“I am deeply honored to serve as President of The Missouri Bar,” said Dreyer. “This position allows me to work alongside dedicated legal professionals committed to advancing the interests of our clients and communities. I look forward to addressing the challenges we face and fostering initiatives that enhance the legal profession in Missouri.”
