The Social Security Administration has published the days when beneficiaries would get double payments in 2025. Social Security payments will rise by a modest 2.5% in 2025.
Due to a modification in the regular payment schedule, recipients of the Supplemental Security Income (SSI) program will receive their higher payments in December rather than January, as January 1 is a holiday.
Social Security claimants should be aware that if a payment date occurs on a weekend or holiday, the federal government will reschedule it for the next working day to ensure they receive their payments smoothly.
