On Saturday afternoon, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of an assault with a deadly weapon near Stoddard Canyon Falls, a prominent waterfall situated along Mount Baldy Road in the San Gabriel Mountains.
Deputies reached the isolated location at approximately 3:28 p.m. and found a man with significant injuries to his upper body. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene by emergency responders from the San Bernardino Fire Department. The identity of the deceased, later confirmed to be the father of the suspect, has not been disclosed to the public.
