Half-Baked Heist Oceanside Donut Bandit Foiled by Dunkin' Employees

A sticky-fingered bandit made a daring donut grab at a Long Island Dunkin’ Donuts, but his escape quickly went off the rails – literally.

The donut drama occurred at the Oceanside Dunkin’ Donuts on Lawson Boulevard around 10 a.m. on Friday, December 27.

According to Nassau County Police, a masked man entered the store and took several packages of donuts before leaving without paying.

Two employees, a 19-year-old and a 47-year-old man, chased the suspect outside, resulting in a physical altercation.

The suspect dropped the stolen donuts during the scuffle before fleeing to the LIRR station across the street and boarding a westbound train.

Neither employees nor customers were injured in the incident.

Detectives described the suspect as an adult white male standing about 6-feet tall. He was last seen wearing a black ski mask, a blue hoodie over a green sweatshirt, black jeans, and black sneakers.

Anyone with information should contact Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS.
