Despite the fact that it was enjoyable while it lasted, Neosho’s season of perfect play came to an end on Friday after they had played four games.
The Webb City Cardinals defeated them by a score of 34-28. One of the Wildcats’ first losses of the season came from this game.
In spite of the loss, Neosho had impressive performances from Cade Spiva, who carried for 136 yards and a touchdown, and Denver Welch, who rushed for 96 yards and two touchdowns.
Both of these players performed exceptionally well. A new career high in running yards was achieved by Spiva as a result of his outstanding effort.
The fact that they were defeated does not change the fact that Neosho was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 269 yards rushing.
That is the highest number of rushing yards they have accomplished throughout the entire season.
Jackson Lucas performed exceptionally well for Webb City, rushing for 106 yards and two touchdowns while also throwing for 96 yards and two touchdowns.
He was the same good player he has been in the past. Slade Hurd, who outran the other players by 92 yards, was another player who contributed significantly to Webb City’s success. He ran away from the competition.
The score for Neosho dropped to 4-1 after they suffered their first loss of the season. In the case of Webb City, the victory ended their three-game losing run and brought their overall record to a record of 2-3 points.
On Friday evening, at seven o’clock, Neosho will compete against Willard in a fight. Regarding Webb City, they are scheduled to play Republic on Friday evening at seven o’clock.
When Republic arrives, they will be seeking to win their sixth consecutive game, which is something that Webb City will not give up without a fight under any circumstances.
