Davenport Police have charged three individuals with second-degree murder in connection with an assault that occurred in 2015

Davenport, Iowa and It has been reported by the Davenport Police Department that three individuals have been charged with murder in the second degree in connection with an incident that occurred in 2015.

In October of 2015, just after midnight, Davenport Police Officers were called to the Chorus Line Strip Club, which had been situated at 4128 North Brady Street in the past, in response to a report of an assault. This information was provided in a press release.

During the course of the investigation, law enforcement officers discovered an adult male victim inside the club.

This victim, who was later identified as Joshua Sutton Jr., was taken to the nearby hospital and then transferred to the University of Iowa Hospital for emergency medical care of significant head injuries sustained during the assault.

As a result of this occurrence, three individuals, namely Kamden Shelton, Juan Shelton, and Trenton Shelton, were all charged with Willful Injury-Causing Serious Injury in the year 2015.

Up until the time of his passing in April of 2024, the victim remained in a persistent vegetative condition that necessitated medical attention in long-term care facilities.

After being taken into custody on Wednesday, October 9th, Kamden Shelton Sr. was charged with second-degree murder in connection with the assault that occurred in 2015.

Juan and Trenton Shelton are still being held in detention on accusations that are not related to each other. Each of the two individuals has been given a warrant for the crime of murder in the second degree.
