Cause of death for the father of a missing Hawaiian lady Hannah Kobayashi Confirms

Another heartbreaking revelation has emerged in the wake of Hannah Kobayashi’s disappearance.

Two days after Ryan Kobayashi, the missing Hawaiian woman’s father, was discovered dead after falling off a parking structure near Los Angeles International Airport, the County of Los Angeles Medical Examiner has released the official cause of death.

According to the medical examiner’s assessment, Ryan committed suicide after suffering several blunt force traumatic injuries at the LAX parking lot. He was 58.

Ryan’s tragic death comes amid Hannah’s ongoing missing person case—he had gone into Los Angeles to help with the search for his missing daughter.

“It’s every parent’s nightmare,” Ryan told NBC4 News on November 21 at a memorial for his daughter near Crypto.com Arena. “We’re not sure where to begin. “It’s like a grain of sand in the ocean.”

Following Ryan’s death, the Kobayashi family released a statement through a charity organization that is supporting in the search for Hannah, announcing his death and highlighting the necessity of the continued search for the 31-year-old.

“Hannah IS still actively missing and is believed to be in imminent danger,” a family member wrote. “It is critical that everyone be attentive in their efforts to locate Hannah. Ryan Kobayashi, Hannah’s father, committed suicide after a 13-day search in Los Angeles. This loss has exacerbated the family’s distress enormously.”

The statement continued: “What the family needs most in this difficult time is for all communities to rally around them with support, compassion, and prayers.”

Hannah went missing on November 11 after flying from Los Angeles to New York, where she had intended to undertake a photographic gig, visit family, and attend a concert.

Hannah missed her connecting connection to the East Coast when she arrived at LAX on November 8 from Hawaii, so she spent the weekend exploring Los Angeles, her family previously confirmed to E! News.

Hannah’s aunt Larie Pidgeon also told KITV that Hannah began speaking in unusual ways, telling friends and family that she had experienced a “very intense spiritual awakening” and expressing worry about her identity or money being taken.

Hannah’s aunt said that her phone was last pinged at LAX on November 11, and her relatives told NBC4 that she was seen on security camera at a Metro station near Crypto.com Arena on November 18, along with another unidentified individual.

The LAPD has confirmed to E! News that there is an ongoing investigation into Hannah.
