On Thursday, Georgina Padilla, 38, from Napa, and Ralph Andino III, 54, from American Canyon, were discovered outside of an apartment building located on the 700 block of Lincoln Avenue.
As soon as the emergency personnel came at approximately 9:45 in the morning, they discovered that both of the individuals had been shot. Both Padilla and Andino were pronounced dead at the site, despite the fact that there were attempts to save their lives.
Andino’s family has confirmed to NBC Bay Area that Padilla was one of his clients. They believe that there is a possibility that he was making a house call at Padilla’s apartment at the time of the incident.
In an archived version of the website for Andino’s law firm, it is said that he handled issues ranging from family law to personal injury to driving under the influence of alcohol.
Following the identification of a suspect “within hours,” the Napa Police Department reported that the subject was located at the junction of Juarez and 2nd streets less than four hours after the initial identification.
Following the activation of the lights and siren by a law enforcement officer, the suspect is said to have fled in his vehicle, leading the cops on a pursuit to Kennedy Park. According to the police, his vehicle “became disabled” at that location, and he refused to vacate the vehicle despite authorities’ orders to do so.
“The suspect persistently refused to surrender and ultimately suffered a gunshot wound that he had inflicted upon himself.” Police have identified the culprit as Baltazar Rangel Juarez, who is 28 years old.
He was taken to the hospital after receiving medical treatment at the scene of the incident. Henry K. Lee, a reporter for KTVU dedicated to covering criminal cases, stated that Juarez was Padilla’s “new boyfriend.”
If you have any information on the shooting, please call Detective Dustin Dodd of the Napa Police Department at the number 707-257-9568. There is still an ongoing investigation.
