Famous musician Elton John has revealed facts of an alleged assassination attempt on his life. The musician said that he looked to have been attacked on stage during one of his performances. The artist then gave a comprehensive summary of what had happened to fans.
The Singer Could Be Seen With Blood On His Face
Fans suspected that John had been slain on stage by a fan after being observed with blood on his face during a concert. The event took place during a performance in Greensboro, North Carolina.
John was apparently dragged away from his piano in the middle of the concert. At the time, his bandmates suspected he had been shot.
As reported by Radar Online, a drug addict in the crowd apparently threw a metal pipe at John. It struck him directly in the temple. This led him to “lack out” as blood ran down his cheeks.
John described the experience in Farewell Yellow Brick Road. As he stated, “Fans have frequently thrown things onstage when I’m performing, but they’ve usually been relatively soft.” “Not in Greensboro.
John Credited His Bodyguard Jim Morris For His Help
The singer noted how unexpected it was at the time. During a performance of Burn Down the Mission, a member of the audience threw a metal hash pipe at the stage, according to the speaker. I didn’t see that coming.”
“The silver pipe shattered against my temple, drawing blood, and I was completely unconscious. The band continued playing since it took them a second to comprehend what had transpired.
John stated that his security, former Mr. Universe Jim Morris, had to drag him to the side of the stage while the performer was in costume. As John mentioned, the feathers he was wearing caused problems.
The singer said, “There were feathers everywhere. “A paramedic was bandaging my head.” Despite everything that had happened, John stated that the experience has become one of his “favorite” memories from his time touring.
As previously documented, John has also been dealing with vision loss in recent months. John, who composed the music for the Broadway musical adaption of The Devil Wears Prada, was led off stage by his husband, David Furnish.
Farewell Yellow Brick Road is a retrospective of John’s memories from his career. The book was released in September.
