After a traffic stop by a trooper in Tarrytown, a Bronx man faces multiple felony charges

A Bronx man is facing several felony drug and weapons charges after state troopers discovered large amounts of narcotics during a traffic stop in Tarrytown on Wednesday.

According to the New York State Police, Troop T officers stopped a 2018 Nissan Rogue on I-87 in Greenburgh at 1 p.m. for vehicle and traffic violations.

During an inspection of the vehicle, police discovered that Maximilian X. Blevins, 27, of the Bronx, was in possession of a stolen and loaded 9mm firearm from North Carolina, as well as approximately 1,574 grams of white cocaine, 15 grams of pink cocaine, 354 grams of Alprazolam, 467 grams of cannabis, 6 grams of amphetamine, 3 grams of MDMA, 145 grams of heroin, and other various drug paraphernalia.

Blevins faces several automobile and traffic violations, as well as 18 felony charges, including:

  • First, second and third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance,

  • Fourth-degree criminal possession of a narcotic drug

  • Second and third-degree criminal possession of a weapon

  • Criminal possession of a firearm

  • Criminal possession of stolen property

Blevins was arraigned before Judge David A. Koenigsberg in Dobbs Ferry Village Court and committed to the Westchester County Jail without bail.
