A woman was charged with drug distribution and taken into custody.

According to a Facebook post by the Barry County Sheriff’s Office, 42-year-old Chrystal Dawn Fanning of Neosho is facing federal charges of Possession and Distribution of Fentanyl after she and Jared Dodge of Eagle Rock were arrested in Missouri’s Newton County in September and discovered with over 600 grams of fentanyl pills, which she later admitted she purchased out of state and distributed in several areas, including Barry County.

For several months, sheriff’s authorities worked with the Ozark Drug Enforcement Team and the Drug Enforcement Administration on the case.

After the federal indictment was handed down, Fanning was apprehended by Barry County officials.
