A UPS truck gets into a river after an accident

An accident yesterday afternoon threw a UPS truck into the North Fork of the Spring River.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the accident occurred around 2:45 p.m. at the intersection of N Highway and West Dade 183.

The truck was traveling south on N Highway when its wheels came off the road. The driver overcorrected. The truck left the road to the right at the edge of the bridge, colliding with the water and landing on its side.

The driver was unhurt. Packages were observed floating in the water.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol, Golden City Fire Department, and Dade County Cox Health all responded to the accident.
