JOPLIN, MO. – Around 4:50 p.m. on Wednesday, Joplin E-911 received reports of a significant motorbike crash with a passenger vehicle near North Main and C streets.
Joplin Fire, Joplin Police, and METS Ambulance responded.
Patient treatment was taking place in the roadway, therefore both north and south main traffic were promptly detoured.
On the scene, we see a METS ambulance leave priority with lights and sirens taking an adult male trauma patient to an area hospital.
The driver of the passenger vehicle was not wounded.
According to Joplin Police, the motorbike was travelling south on North Main when the sedan approached from C Street and failed to yield to the rider.
Nixon Towing took the motorcycle.
Members of the Joplin Police Traffic Patrol marked the area for an accident investigation.
After around 60 minutes, traffic returned to normal.
