A Missouri guy died in an early morning crash

The driver of a pickup truck was thrown out of his vehicle and then hit by a semi, killing him.

It happened about 2:30 a.m. Saturday, half a mile east of Carthage, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

They say the driver of a pickup truck went across the center line and hit a semi-truck.

Ronnie Gillmore, 43, from Reeds, Missouri, was driving the pickup truck when it crashed. He was thrown and then hit by the semi as both cars left the road.

Gillmore was declared dead at the scene of the crime.

The semi-truck’s 58-year-old driver was not hurt.

This is the 90th death for Troop D this year.
