Near Springfield, Missouri – A accident on U.S. 65 north of Springfield killed the driver Thursday night.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a 59-year-old man from Buffalo was driving north on U.S. 65 when he ran off the road, over the median, invaded the southbound lanes, and collided with an embankment and three trees.
The incident occurred shortly after 5:30 p.m., south of Bluegrass Road.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol no longer distributes the names of drivers or passengers in accident reports.
