The well-known discount food store chain Aldi says it will hire 13,000 more people for the holidays. The company will raise the average hourly wage to $23 to go along with this growth.

The chain said that the new jobs will be offered in both stores and warehouses. Starting wages will usually be between $18 and $23 an hour, but this will depend on the job and the market. More than 49,000 people work for Aldi, which has more than 2,000 shops in 36 states.
In a statement, Atty McGrath, President of Aldi, said, “Whether it’s our in-store team stocking shelves with fresh food, our warehouse staff managing logistics, or our drivers delivering our popular ALDI Finds, our employees make shopping faster, easier, and cheaper for our customers.”
