At around 3:30 p.m., several Nassau County Police vehicles and crime scene tape were seen in Merrick, near the southwest corner of Jerusalem Avenue and Powell Avenue. Monday, December 30.
Officers were passing through several businesses, according to preliminary radio traffic.
It was unclear why officers were called to the scene or if anyone had been injured.
The commercial building houses several businesses, including a print shop, a hair salon, and an Italian restaurant.
Google Maps data shows that the incident caused minor traffic delays along Jerusalem Avenue.
