A house in Old Town is damaged by fire

A house in Old Town is damaged by fire.

Bangor, Maine – This morning, many departments responded to a fire in Old Town.

It occurred shortly after 9 a.m. on Main Street, near the town line of Orono.

According to Old Town’s Fire Chief, one person was inside, but they managed to escape and dialed 911.

According to reports, workers were able to rapidly extinguish the fire, and no one was injured.

“Good job on the occupant on recognizing something was going on, getting out of the structure or out of the residence in a hurry, and calling 9-1-1. So, again this time of year people are using wood stoves or different types of methods to heat their houses. “If you suspect anything is going on, get out, stay out, and dial 9-1-1,” said Kyle Milan, Old Town’s Fire Chief.

Milan said the department is looking into a cause and that the house can be salvaged.
