A 90-year-old Pennsylvania man killed his wife at a nursing home before shooting himself.

The shooting occurred at the Manatawny Manor nursing facility in East Coventry Township. The husband allegedly walked into his 89-year-old wife’s chamber and shot her dead, followed by himself.

Chester County District Attorney Christopher de Barrena-Sarobe stated, “We are considering this occurrence as an isolated incident. It’s a murder-attempt suicide. It concerns an 89-year-old woman who has died and a 90-year-old guy who is currently hospitalized with a gunshot wound.”

Later, the man died from his injuries. Loved ones visited the center to ensure that their family members were okay. Pat Erb, a resident, stated, “He just said he heard a commotion and that they closed his room door, but when I was speaking with him, they opened it again. He was OK. “I knew that.”

Investigators are currently attempting to piece together what led up to the shooting.

“He has been here several times before. “I’m sure he said something when he came in, but whether it had anything to do with what happened here today, it’s too early for us,” said de Barrena-Sarobe.

There were no other injuries reported, and there is no risk to the public. The investigation is underway. Earlier this year, a family of four was discovered dead in their house in an apparent murder-suicide case, only weeks after losing their four-year-old kid in a heartbreaking accident.

The terrible occurrence occurred as a family was already grieving with the loss of their four-year-old daughter to drowning earlier this month. Tragically, the scenario took a tragic turn when the family was discovered dead in what appears to be a murder-suicide.

The bodies of four family members, named as Farman Sherwani, Layla Sherwani, their 12-year-old son Shaheen Sherwani, and their 2-year-old son Mateen Sherwani, were discovered inside their home.

The series of events began when a frightened family member, who turned out to be the grandmother, called the police. She had been locked out of the house for almost two hours and could not obtain a response from within.
