East Meadow, New York. – According to Nassau County Police, two males were arrested on Sunday night for allegedly firing rounds at a woman driving on Long Island and were discovered to be in possession of a handgun .
Just before 11 p.m., a lady was driving a black Infiniti Q50 north on Prospect Avenue in East Meadow when a red Cadillac vehicle “aggressively changed lanes” in front of her and fired two rounds at her, according to police.
The gunshot occurred at Lancaster Street and Freeman Avenue, after which the Cadillac fled the scene, according to authorities.
Officers discovered the Cadillac in front of a 7-Eleven on Newbridge Road, and officers detained Anthony Beltran, 33, and John Messina, 45, without incident.
During the inquiry, officers seized a loaded.25 caliber handgun, a switchblade, and a white, powdery material thought to be cocaine.
Both guys were charged with several firearms and narcotics offenses, as well as reckless endangerment, threatening, and illegal possession of stolen items.
Messina and Beltran, both from Nassau County, were expected to be arraigned in Hempstead Monday.
