A Maine construction worker was injured in a tractor-trailer crash

A tractor-trailer collided with a road crew worker laying cones on the roadway, injuring him.

The Maine Construction Worker Sustained Non-Life-Threatening Injuries

Charles Miller, 24, of Enfield, suffered non-life-threatening injuries in the incident. Boureima Dicko, 38, of Allentown, Pennsylvania, was not injured while driving the tractor.

A Construction Vehicle Was Struck by a Tractor Trailer

Shannon Moss, a spokesperson for the Maine Department of Public Safety, said the incident occurred on I-95 southbound around 2:15 p.m. on Tuesday. A Northeast Paving worker was installing cones on the roadway for an anticipated paving job near Newport’s mile marker 157 when the tractor-trailer collided with the construction vehicle.

A Pennsylvania Man Was Driving the Tractor Trailer in the Newport Crash

Miller was thrown from the construction vehicle and taken to Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. Dicko, who works for JT Freight Inc. in Des Plaines, Illinois, was not wounded.

The crash remains under investigation by the Maine State Police.
