A Seneca lady died and a three-year-old boy was injured in an accident on Highway B

A pedestrian was killed in an accident on Highway B near Granby, Missouri, Thursday evening. The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported that the event occurred about 7:32 p.m. on October 31, 2024.

The accident occurred in a 2006 GMC Sierra driven by Jeb S. Hann, 60, of Granby, Missouri. The vehicle was heading southbound when it collided with two people on the side of the road.

According to the Highway Patrol, Newton County Coroner Dale Owen pronounced Vidalia M. Boyer, 20, of Seneca, Missouri, dead at the scene at 8:41 p.m. A three-year-old boy pedestrian from Seneca was sent to Mercy Hospital in Joplin by EMS after suffering minor injuries.

The GMC Sierra was moderately damaged and hauled from the scene by Riediegers Towing. This is Troop D’s 94th fatality in 2024. Sergeant C.C. Clark and Trooper J.T. Martin assisted with the investigation into the accident.
